Speedometer Problems and aftermarket turbo gauge

So I bought an 03 WRX a couple days ago. And the battery was dead, so I brought the charger on it and let it charge and it started. The speedometer worked fine for the first couple of joyrides down the road. Then I left the charger on it for a few hours and come back and the speedo didn't move from zero anymore. Help?

Also it came with an aftermarket Spec D boost gauge, it turns on but doesn't read any boost.

Does the tach still work? If it does, your VSS likely came unplugged.

    Then it's likely the VSS.

I checked the VSS and it seemed fine. Any other things it could be?
