    Smoking from under the hood

Hello currently my 2004 impress wrx sometimes begins to smoke from under the hood. It seems to be coming from the front of the motor. Looks like a coolant leak. Could it be the water pump leaking? It seems to be dripping off the block and onto piping. Help is appreciated. Here's a pic

How many miles on the car? Has the car had the timing belt/water pump/thermostat service (105k mile)?

Check your Radiator, the stock Radiators are known to fail frequently.

No it hasn't been done the car is 115k miles. I planned on ordering the gates timing belt and water pump kit. Since I need it whether that's the cause or not. I believe I read somewhere it was 110k miles. Either way I'm over due. And thanks for the suggestion I'm going to get under and check the rad today

Get that done ASAP. If that timing belt snaps, your pistons will collide with your valves and your motor will be beyond a rebuild.
