    whistle, should i worry?

I've noticed that under a load when I don't downshift, like going on an on ramp lets say. When I just roll on the throttle, I get a pretty audible whistle, almost as if its boost creep although I'm not sure since this is first Turbo vehicle. But I'm not tripping any codes so maybe it's just noise from bpv? Its a 2013 wrx with under 5k on the odo.

Could be bpv. Could be the tb hose isn't tight.

I'd guess the TB hose, but take it to the dealership.

Could he just be hearing the turbo spooling?
    Find a low-mileage one-owner unmodified '04/'05 and you're golden.

No, I hear the Turbo spool during all driving conditions even when this other whistle is happening under said specific driving conditions

The dealership around here has kind of a scetchy reputation for doing more bad than good, so definitely a last resort.

Then I'd suggest you take a close look at the air tube from intercooler to throttle body (TB). They're often coming loose on the new cars. That's what I read , anyways... Just a matter of putting it back together and tightening down. If it persists you'll want to look for better hoses/clamps. Or maybe that's not the problem...
You can't have everything - where would you put it?

So, I know this thread is old but just had some new info to throw out there. I tried tightening the TB hose, was able to get to the clamp closest to the intercooler, but the clamp nearest the TB seems to be a little bit more of a task to get to. Any suggestions on the easiest way to get to it? And I also found this video seems to be the same noise but I'm not hearing it near as bad. 2012 WRX Weird Whistle - YouTube
