I thought it was just my imagination after going to Stage 2 with a Torque Performance map that my car was not running as well when I first installed it. Think I might just bite the bullet and install a new TB to IC hose on as preventative action. Running an AEM intake so the shift whistle under boost has always been there and I couldn't tell if I had a boost leak or not based on sound. The boost gauge on the Cobb does hit just over 19 lbs on the 2nd to 3rd gear shifts, but I have read you can get the right boost output and still have leak, correct?

UPDATE...I just took off the IC to TB hose and found the side where the hose connects to the TB wasn't even on anymore and was completely off. I took off the gaskets on both sides of the hose and put the hose back on and my car runs perfectly. Feels even better now. Thanks for the advice everyone.

So what are the ramifications of driving around with this leak? I ask because I did myself for a bit

You drive around with a massive boost leak.

Thanks captain obvious! I mean, what are the potential ramifications of driving around with a massive boost leak.

You be running extremely rich, fouling plugs, wasting gas, maybe even have the engine quit..., but likely nothing breaking (hopefully).
You can't have everything - where would you put it?

Just finish tonight replacing the TB to IC on my '13 WRX. Installed the VenAir hose with T-bolt clamps on both ends. The factory rubber cover on the IC intake had a small tear on the outside of it from the factory clamp. Not sure if that was causing an issue or not, but now I won't have to worry with I hit 20 lbs of boost

Well, at least not about this hose any longer...

So apparently the TB->IC hose on 08+ WRX (and I would assume LGT) is junk.. I'll keep that in mind.

Well the hose itself is fine at stock power levels. I never had a problem and I was mod free for about 25,000 miles.

But who cares about stock power levels?
