    Only benefit is that they will keep record of your maintenance and will use OEM subaru parts (if needed). Other than that they will just charge you a pretty penny. If you use a local shop just make sure to keep your own detailed records.

    If there are coupons and you get a free car wash it could work out OK.

    An independent can order and use authentic parts too if you request it.

    I prefer authentic parts so I'd opt for that.
