Engine Vibration WRX 04 3rd Gear

Hey guys quick question. I'm getting an engine vibration noise when I hit 30 mph in 3rd gear. I'm wondering what it could be. Like the whole engine shakes, it's a loud rattle. But it's only in 3rd gear at 30mph, no where else. I'm wondering could it be the heat shield? I think its usually between 2600-3000 rpm when it happens. I notice if i stay in 2nd, and RPM it to over 30 mph, and then shift to 3rd it doesn't do it. Could it just be turbo lag?

Turbo lag doesn't create engine vibration. Get under the car and look for loose heat shields/exhaust mounts. Check the motor mounts as well.
