    Blow off valve?

At the beginning of January I was doing some snow drifting. I blew off my intercooler pipe on the bottom of my top mount. Since then it hasn't quite been the same. I would have high end boost problems, my rpms would jump and I couldn't get the boost to stay consistent. On the way home today I noticed I wasn't producing boost until like 5000 rpms. Usually it makes it around 3. I'm thinking my blowoff valve is malfunctioning not allowing my turbo to create boost. Can anyone help me out?

Mods: eBay top mount intercooler, 18 t bloushe turbo, upgraded injectors, built engine and pistons, ej22 engine swap from a 2.0, full aluminum radiator, sti heads, 3" exhaust turbo back.

You suspect the BOV is stuck open or?

If your BOV is stuck open, your long term fuel trims will most likely be affected.

    Please datalog the following parameters:
    Engine speed
    AFR Learning #1
    AFR Correction #1
    Calculated Load

Try to keep out of boost and in closed-loop. If you are using Tactrix, please use LearningView to post the table.

If you feel that the BOV is LEAKING, replace the aftermarket piece with a stock BPV and see if the issue disappears. Boost leaks can be the most difficult issue to address, so having a shop do a full intake/manifold leak test may be beneficial. What brand BOV? Has it been properly tuned and cleaned/lubricated on a regular basis?

It is a stock bpv and I was unaware you had to lubracate them. I have not had it tuned since I've had it I was under the impression it had been tuned

OK, the stock BPV does not require lubrication. You mentioned BOV in your post, which is what was confusing. I was referring to "Tuning" the BOV, which involves setting the preload on the piston. However, the fact that you don't even know if the ECU is tuned concerns me. What engine management do you run?

I am assuming the stock ECU with a reflash? Sounds like you have a boost leak. Test the system.

A smoke test would be excellent.
