I have heard a lot about this thing. What is the reason for it? I have heard of people removing it, what is the advantages of removing it? And if there is validity to removing it where is it and how do i go about removing it?

If you're changing boost controllers and getting retuned then you wouldn't need it.
do NOT remove the restictor pill. Those who claim you will "get more boost" are idiots. The restrictor pill keeps the WG seeing the correct amount of pressure. Without it, your car will underboost and boost control will be erratic.
