First time the car has been in this cold of weather. Scared the crap out of me when I started it. Did a little searching and people say the whining is the power steering pump. Your guys thoughts?
Sounds like a jet fighter starting up lol

I took mine back to the dealer the first time it made that noise and had them keep it over night so they could hear it too. They said it was the power steering pump and that it was normal. Noisy little thing when its cold outside.

its hard to tell but i think its the power steering pump. mine is a little bit higher of a pitch but of course it'll sound different after being recorded. a definete giveaway is ifyou turn your steering wheel and the same noise is heard
Is it possible that it could be the air pump for cold starts? I know a lot of people get pump deletes so its possible that could be the noise

I got a little of that noise this morning right upon startup. We're in a pretty cold weather pattern as well, probably the coldest it has been yet this winter.
