Started up the new car today and it had the CEL and the usual traction light and cruise blinking. Scanned it at the local auto store and came up with P0455. Buddy of mine says it is probably a gas cap but didn't reset the light until I can take it into the dealers tomorrow. Anyone else have this happen?

If it is the gas cap, and you re-tighten it, it will go away after a period of time of driving.

Have you tried looking at the gas cap and seeing if it's as simple as that?

Evap system check is one of the last to finish on most cars and typically not only requires a combo of driving conditions, but also some time to rest with engine off before it resets. In other words, a day or two of driving.
