    Power stealing screech

Hey everyone. I own an 08 STI and have about 77,000 miles on it. Getting a screech from the power stealing when cold all of a sudden(only when wheel is turned), when it warms up its good. Is this an issue?

Is the power steering fluid level ok? If so, likely the power steering pump is going. Nothing catastrophic will happen, but you could find yourself suddenly without power steering one day.

When you do replace it, I'd do the timing belt/water pump/idler pulley at the same time to save on labor.
