2002 WRX CEL P0442 Issue

Hows it going, new to the forum and looking for help. I had some work done by my mechanic and now I'm having a CEL pop on every 100 miles or so. 01/02 codes both are P0442 Evap Leak Small Leak. I had a new coolant lines put on, i had an aftermarket intercooler put on and then taken off with stock going back on, and catback exhaust. Other than that I'm keeping it as stock/OEM as possible at this point (don't need any issues cars plenty fast, i use it for a all purpose vehicle : Snow and surf). I appreciate any insight to what I can do to elevate the issue.
1) new gas cap?
2) replace charcoal canister?
3) no clue hahah

The evap canister is known to go bad...I'd start there.
