So I stumbled onto a site called SDmotorworks.com . Anyone ever heard of this site? Seems pretty fishy.
They have a Q300 Invidia Catback Exhaust on there for $800 shipped. This is a pretty good deal, correct?
Last question. For this particular exhaust I keep seeing in the item descirption, "Traditionally, if you wanted a quieter exhaust system, you had
to sacrifice performance to get there. Not anymore. Enter the Q300 series
performance exhaust from Invidia. Q300 exhaust systems utilize specially sized
resonators and muffler baffles to maintain power output while still producing a
deep and mellow touring exhaust tone"
I thought these exhausts were quite loud. I don't know why they make it sound like this exhaust is quiet???

Never heard of SDmotorworks.com. The exhaust can be purchased for around that price from reputable vendors.

Acoustics in the hatch & the sedan are different. I'm not sure whether you have a hatch or a sedan. It is rather difficult to find an exhaust for the hatchback that will sound "mellow". The Q300 on the hatchback drones a lot more than on a sedan. If you can, try to go to a local meet & hear the exhaust in person. Shouldn't be too hard in Philly.

I've heard them before, I just found it odd they associated the word "quiet" with that type of exhaust.

So how difficult/annoying is it to try to install a full exhaust system without a lift?

It is definitely easier & quicker if you have access to a lift. I just drive the car up a set of ramps & jack up the rear.

I have the magnaflow 15471 catback exhaust and it is loud. If I had to cart people around with me on a regular basis, I probably would revert back to stock.
