    02 wrx needs new clutch

I have a 2002 wrx and recently my clutch has been slipping. I knew it was weak but was hoping it would last longer than it did. I am looking for advice on a "bang for your buck" clutch. I am not looking to completely skimp on a clutch but i also don't want to break the bank either. Thanks for the help!!!!!

You can get an OEM Exedy KSB03 Clutch kit. I think I paid less than $200 for it. Its still sitting in my closet....
Research has shown the KSB03's single sprung clutch plate will cause clutch chatter. Its not damaging. Its just annoying as hell as I've heard... then again... whats 1 more rattle on a WRX?

And you might also set some $$ aside for the flywheel.... resurface or not debate. Act street flywheel is generally regarded as a trouble free solution vs OEM Subaru flywheel.

    Good luck.

Don't go lighter than the ACT street light (13.9lbs I believe). Any lighter will cause problems. New will be less headache than resurfaced.

I also recommend the Exedy OEM replacement unless you are planning on spending more money upgrading other things as well.

Stick with a stock clutch. And you're not seriously going to buy a LWFW are you? I'm hoping that was a joke/sarcasm...
