Check fuel lines and fuel pump/filter. Do you see any visible leaks under the car?

    Noticed any adverse performance?

I'm having a hard time trying to understand you here....

Are you saying that you see leaks when you look under it or that you haven't seen any leaks in the undercarriage?

If you don't know what you're looking for...I certainly would check with a mechanic. Fuel system isn't something to mess around with.

We can't see the car. You can. You should not smell anything if there is no leak or problem.

my friends telling me that can smell petrol from my car outside....
If the smell is coming from the front of the car:
    >>>>The I smell raw gas from my WRX and its cold outside Thread (TSB inside)<<<<

If the smell is coming from the rear of the car:
    Fill 'er up? NOT!!!
    or
P0457 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)
(in that link, see post 14 for a diagramme of the fuel system in the rear of the car)

If you smell fuel there is a problem.

is it possible to check with the mechanic?
Yes. For money, they may diagnose and fix the car.
