    ??? not sure if boost cut

    Hey Guys I have a 2010 lightly modded WRX. I bought it with a Invidia 3 inch cat back exhaust, INJEN CAI, headers and up pipe and a Turbo XS RFL BOV. I was trying to over take another car and it seems like I hit a fuel cut or something. The car bogged the CEL flashed for a bit and would intermitenly come on and go off. I unplugged my battery then hooked it up again cleared the CEL and when I started it up again I got a little of a rough idle. I took it for a drive and under WOT it went into to boost no problem but after 2 gears of WOT the CEL came back on and stayed on this time. Under partial throttle sometimes Ill get a little back fire. I haven't got access to a OBDII code scanner yet but will tomorrow. I was hoping that you guys would give me any insight on commom problems or issues with this.

    We need to see that check engine light before we can say anything...

    Otherwise it's all speculation. Autozone is still open... why not run by there?

    Yes, we need the code. But if the CEL is flashing, it typically means a pretty mad misfire, which would also explain your rough idle.

    I noticed there was no mention of tuning. If your car isn't tuned, you're on your own here, and are a victim of your own ignorance. If you're experiencing misfires, hope to whatever higher power you may hope to that you didn't destroy your engine.

    Who tuned your car?

    Usually when the CEL flashes its a bad misfire which would cause the rough idle you are speaking of although I would still scan for codes tomorrow. Post back and let us know which codes you are seeing.

    I am in aware if it as on or not thy said it was Cobb tuned when I got it but I have no way of verifying it

    Sad story my friend, im assuming it wasn't tuned properly. Considering you said it had an up pipe, and headers Cobb doesn't provide a map for that mod. Let alone injen CAI are hard to tune for. Unless it was pro-tuned with an AP-

    i'd get a compression test seeing that you purchased it modded, then i would source a pro-tune. Also ditch the BOV-

    Your first priority should be to get the car pro tuned. Now that we know its a misfire you can check out this IF YOU HAVE A MISFIRE CODE ,PLEASE READ THIS!!! I wouldn't wait to long to get the protune what area are you in?
