    Unhappy Repeated blown headlamps...

When i first started replacing factory bulbs with aftermarket bulbs, they blew quite often. They told me this was notorious in subarus. I've just recently bought some HIDs and they have blown also. They sent me replacement bulbs, but I know they will not keep doing this. Has anyone else alleviated this problem somehow??

Do you handle the bulbs wearing gloves? Or if there are smudges on the bulb do you wipe them away before installing?

What do you consider quite often? Aftermarket bulbs with higher output will burn out much faster then OEM bulbs.

What kind of signal do you get?

What do the new bulbs require? Do the stock bulbs die like the aftermarket ones?
