I know this probably isn't the reply you want to hear, but I let my WRX sit for up to two weeks at a time when I travel, and it doesn't blow plumes of smoke when I start it. It's a 2010 sedan with 36,000 miles.

Injectors - begs the question of what turbo they put on it. Unless they just maxed out the stock ones with the IC?
