The lights dimming is indicative of an electrical problem..

There is no such thing (unless there's some new parts company out there named "stage 2" that I don't know about).. I actually wouldn't be surprised if there was a company called "ultra light", but I seriously doubt someone named ultra light made your flywheel, and if they did, I bet it's junk.

If nothing was done to the transmission....... then why did the car come with a stage 2 transvestite? I would have turned that down.

    This tells us nothing.

What brand clutch? What brand flywheel?

    What is a "StageII transmission"?

Test battery and alternator, replace what is needed.

So let me get this straight.

You have an unknown lightweight flywheel that was installed on a modified car that you just purchased and have not been driving very long...and you aren't sure why you are coming close to stalling out frequently?

Depending on what exactly has been done to the clutch/flywheel/etc, most likely you're just experiencing the reduced daily driveability that comes with mods like that. You're going to have to goose the throttle a lot when starting from a stop and also just get used to the clutch feel.

I would personally still have a reputable shop other than that Midas take a look and make sure everything is put together correctly, and find out exactly what parts this previous owner installed.

    Good luck.

Good call on the cleanup Tony.

Maybe I was too subtle before. If you guys don't have anything helpful to add that doesn't include belittling the OP, bugger off.

What if I honestly felt that the OP was better served by selling his current car and finding one with less problems?

    It's probably a combination of your clutch/flywheel. It's a totally different feel.

You cold discuss that if he opens a thread in the car purchasing forum I suppose.

It was borderline, but the guy has been heckled enough.

Since you bought the car for about 3k less than it's worth. I would replace the clutch with a daily driver friendly one and swap out the fly wheel with an OEM one.

In thinking the guy put in a "high performance" or a racing type clutch
Which can be very hard to engage at low speeds
ie. From a stop. The lightweight flywheel isn't doing you any good in this department either.
