Hey there, just bought this car yesterday. Left the lot, got some grub. Started her up and had a check engine light out of NOWHERE. So, car seems to drive fine, doesnt overheat or anything wierd. I took to a carquest, they used the code reader tester dealy and this is what came up
Large vacuum leak
Throttle linkage concern
Faulty IAC Valve
TPS signal faulty
Not sure which of these could be it, should I be worried about driving it and doing more damage?
Thanks!

Yea usually cars have somewhat of a warranty but it could be a simple issue. Take it back and let them deal with it

It ended up being the TPS signal faulty. Just had to swap that bad boy out!
Also... a couple questions.
You guys know of a good source for aftermarket stuffs, like perhaps a neat shifter?
Whats the deal when I go to get filled up and it auto stops at half twice now! Exactly half! Very peculiar.
Oh and thanks for all the input my fellow WRX owners!
Hi Schlitz,
I currently am running a sale on aftermarket interior items such as knobs and custom leather boots.
JPM Shifter Boots, E-Brake Boots, Kartboy and Perrin Shifter Knobs On Sale
Might be a good idea to drive it to find out what you want to upgrade first but I understand wanting to mod it and am here to help.
Feel free to PM me with any parts you need or advice.
Congrats on the WRX

Typically if your having an issue filling up the tank means you have a clogged purge line, purge valve or possibly a charcoal canister.

Interesting, thats the case even if it fills up just fine but stops at half full as if it were full?
Are you sure that the car's fuel level meter is reading the correct value? The fuel level meter is connected directly to the Fuel Pump assembly (the black square):
It is conceivable that the previous owner may have installed an aftermarket fuel pump (or gone back to the stock fuel pump) and bent the fuel level meter actuator.
