Oil leak: head gasket or valve cover?

The oil light momentarily blinked on my 02 wagon so I took it in to the dealer and they think it's either a head gasket or a valve cover. Having had to replace a head gasket in another WRX, I know the horror of that job. However, the leak is slow and I have seen no oil on the ground and temperature problems. The leak is on the passenger side.

My question is whether it sounds like a head gasket?

The oil light should not be related to the leak you see.

The oil light is related to pressure. Suspect low oil level, faulty pickup, faulty pump, obstruction, or sensor. Find out which ASAP.

Hmmm. This is sounding like I need to move this car along before it gets expensive...like the last one. No more '02s for me :/

I hope that you have the decency (nay the humanity) to tell potential buyers of this experience. Do not simply offload onto another.

Yeah, I am honest to a fault about these things. They will know about the leak and the clutch it needs
