Hey all, I'm putting in a new power steering pump. I've been neglecting this because I go to collage and work full time, and it has gotten pretty bad. There is Dex III everywhere! This is not going to be fun to clean up. One thing I noticed is that there was a puddle just under the pump when I removed it, and that puddle was draining onto the timing cover. I'm thinking it may have gotten into the cover and maybe even on the belt.
So question is, how much should I be concerned. If I pull a cover and there is fluid in there should I replace the belt? The belt is no where near due, and I don't want to deal with it if I don't have to.
Let me know what you think, thanks!
