Dealership changing brakes

holy crap! thats ridiculous! I wonder what kind of pads you get at like a firestone type place. I know they wont install parts you bring in, but I wonder which brand (if not their own) they use for 'performace brakes'

So today I'm goin to my dealership because I need new brakes and an oil change. I leave school at 3 and explained I wouldnt be there until around 3:15, the service manager said, try and be there as soon as possible, tech's leave at 4. Anyhow, I'm leaving school early at 2...because ya know, my Sub is 10x more important then school... and my question is, how long does it take to put new brakes on and do an oil change? I remember last time I was there the car needed to sit about 45 min to cool down from the ride over before oil could be changed. Maybe they will do the brakes while they wait for it the oil to cool, but I just don't know! I just don't wanna get out of school at 2 and get home at 5!!

How many miles do you have on your ride? Seams early to be replacing pads on a '12?

I'm 95% sure I will, it depends on if my dad trusts my work with my life haha, I'm contacting Kronos about pads right now. I looked ok hawk pads and stop tech .com and I'm not sure what model/type I need.

Its a 2011 not a 2012, and I have roughly 15k on my car.

How much do pads cost?

BTW, I've changed my own since day one, never found it difficult, except for when the caliper piston sticks...
Drum brakes, like the e-brake, are a little harder, sometimes you have to rivet the new lining to the carrier. Still not too bad.

And try to get some of the brake lubricating paste, sold in little packets (like mustard at McD) at parts stores. It's NOT grease, don't be mistaken there. Instructions on use should be on the pack.
