    Piping/ clicking sound

So I just got a brand new 2012 Subaru WRX (only 540 miles on it) and when first start the car and I drive a few feet I hear this odd sound. It sounds like a click or pop noise. A lot like I ran over a biiger stick and it banged off of te tire wall. But after that there no more sounds just a one time thing when I first start te car and te engine is cold. Anyone know what time is?

If the sound is just after reversing, and stopping, it could be the hill assist brakes.

General consensus is that it is the hill assist disengaging.Everyone has the same sound.

Ooh,hang on. That is the throb of a turbocharged flat four engine. A sound which, all over the world, heralds the imminent arrival of a moron - JC.
