    Check engine light

My car is about 3 weeks old. Started it up this morning and after a few minutes the check engine light, traction control came on and the cruise light started flashing. Called the dealer right away and the service tech suggested reseating the gas cap. He said its ok to drive as long as it drives normal and that it all the lights will reset in a few days..wtf??

My car does drive normal aside from the cruise control not working. Does not drive like it is in a limp mode at all. I am going to call my sales guy today to get it looked at.

I have the same problem with my '11 wrx, I've brought it back to the dealer about 3 times now for that same issue, and they told me that it was the gas cap at first and second time, finally they said they couldn't figure out the problem and they contacted Subaru. Subaru said my ecu needs the latest update and they will contact me when available..!

Post the code number. We can't help you without knowing what the ECU knows.

BTW DTC is diagnostic trouble code
