Exclamation Help! Is my clutch suppose to be stiff?

I have a 2004 wrx 2.0L. And the clutch in this car is hard. Everytime I clutch it pushes me back to my seat haha. Or I have to grab on to the steering wheel so it won't push me back. Is this normal? Or how can I fix? Plz any suggestions?

It may not be "broken." If you have installed an imitation ("aftermarket") clutch, it may have a heavier feel.
