    That would of either been agreed upon by you or the person you bought the car from. A Subaru dealership will only use oem parts unless specified by the customer, because they can't warranty what they don't sell.

    I think the poster is saying that the dealer used a non factory part it is unknown at this point if the dealer told the customer. Seems odd to me but the plot thickens. It appears that Subaru of america is not protecting the consumer.
