    PLZ HELP! OVERBOOSTING!

Hey everyone im back car has been amazing till i discovered that my turbo inlet was cracking so i decided to get a new factory one installed.....well i had a technician at work work on my car because i work at a hyundai dealership and he said he knew what he was doing....well he gave up half way into it and was just ripping stuff apart then left me hangin...well i took my car to subaru which is another branch of our dealership and had a tech put everything back together and he put new intake gaskets and a new canister purge valve and put everything back together and i upgraded to an injen cold air intake to replace my K&N typhoon. My car is a 2004 rex and only mods include a turbo xs bov and a greddy catback and the intake and i have had a boost gauge since i bought it i installed and after everything was put back together in 3rd gear in full throttle the boost gauge tacs out and my car overboost and the turbo wines EXTREMELY loud. Wastegate actuator? or maybe he got the vaccum lines messed up? Help plz! Donkey was a great help solving my boost issue before when he helped me discover my ristrictor pill was missing.

The Injen intake is notorious for screwing up MAF readings, so I wouldn't consider that an "upgrade"

When you say overboosting, what are you hitting?

If he was ripping around at everything make sure that for one the hose is attatched to the front of the turbo like it should and there is no tear in the hose. If it's off or broken you will hit crazy boost levels since it's unregulated. Or he hooked the lines running to the boost solenoid wrong.

The BOV has nothing to do with regulating boost levels.........

No, I'm talking about the hose that runs from the front of the turbo to the boost control solenoid.

well just found out my lines are correct but the metal elbow that connects to my restrictor pill on my t fitting that sticks out of the turbo someone between the 2 mechanics smashed it almost completely shut so am i looking at a new turbo? it doesnt look like that part comes off easily or at all.....its the metal fitting right next to the restrictor pill boost line that it attaches 2 Click image for larger version.
