Need help finding a certain part. What kind of plastic screw goes here?

its a little plastic cap that always falls off, maybe the size of a nickel usualy ends up in my all weather floor mat.

can you replace it with one of those push in and expand caps, usually used to hold molding like that in place. O know they sell them at advanced or other auto parts stores for stupid cheap.
