    Cold intercooler?

After driving my '11 WRX (non STi) around, I opened the hood to show it to a friend. The area by the turbo is very hot as expected, but the intercooler is cold, as in I can lay my hand on it and it feels cold. Is this normal?

Yes that's fine. Your inter-cooler is supposed to cool charged air post turbo(air heats up when compressed). It's temperature will vary based on ambient temperature. So on a warmer day it will tend to be warmer. If you find your inter-cooler way too hot to touch then there maybe issues.

Thanks everyone...I was thinking it would be somewhat warm as a radiator would be, since both are heat exchangers..
