    Right turn rub and grind

New to this forum and just purchased a very high mileage 2002 Subaru WRX 4EAT. Was driving locally and happens only sometimes, but when I make a right hand turn (even slightly) I will hear a metal rub or grind sound; turn the wheel back straight and the sound disappears. Is this the wheel bearing going out? Or the diff?
