removing remote start sytem

When I bought my 2002 wrx I was giddy as a school girl and didn't go over it with a fine tooth comb, probably could have got them to come down a little after pointing out some of the mods/installs that need attention. I didn't notice that my ride had a remote start unit installed on it when I bought it. Well I don't have the remote for it and really don't want it in the mix.

I want to remove this remote start unit. It's not causing any problems or anything but right now its dead weight and quite a few useless under dash wires.

Can anyone foresee any problems that might arise if I just take it out?

I've never wired one up so I don't know exactly how all the wires are run.
I do know a good bit about electronics though, I'm real handy at fixing problematic electrics.
