Radiator Repair, Plastic Part on Top?

I got a fatigue crack in the top of my radiator on my 2003 WRX sedan. Started a thread here...

    Disappearing Coolant

Is there any way this plastic can be cleaned and patched, and will hold up?

Or is it just time for a new radiator?

Time for a new one. In fact I'd be surprised if that was the original one, if it is, it has lasted better than most. They are notorious for cracking and will only start leaking again. It's a great excuse for an upgraded one

I'm the original owner, so it's the original radiator.

Are the new ones any better?

As far as I know they are a little better but I would go with an aluminum aftermarket, they last longer and cool better. Search around the forum and you'll find some threads about them
