02 WRX - Turn key and lose all power...? :(

Hi all, I have an 02 WRX wagon, ive been having an intermittant problem lately where I jump in, turn the ignition on, input the code into my immobilizer and then when I turn the key to start the car I lose all power (before it even turns over) this includes all power to dash, ignition key light, immobilizer etc, I seem to lose power to the whole car. I then disconnect the battery terminals and reconnect after a few pumps on the brake pedal and i have power again.... what is going on! lol

Sounds like the immobilizer is having issues.

Since the immobilizer is not a stock item you'd be better helped by contacting the installer and/or manufacturer.
