Use the specified NGK platinum in the correct heat range; see owner's manual. Also check the manual for service intervals, since the plugs are used for 60K miles at a time.

And this would absolutely have no relevance to the OP's post.

Use either the factory platinum or buy aftermarket stock heat range NGK iridiums.

OK this is interesting. Will the NGK iridium plugs last 60k just like the NGK platinums? Thanks.

Iridiums will last just as long or longer. I think in 07 Subaru actually changed from Platinum to Iridium in the turbocharged vehicles.

Thanks Donkey. The iridium plugs are sometimes even cheaper on sale. I may switch this time, coming up on 120K.

I had to comment. I have a friend with ulcerative colitis who knows the colonoscopy guys very well and we discussed him inserting something just to see what they say. We settled on a spark plug. The small lawn mower type. His story was to be that he fell in the shower. Just brainstorming.

Iridium NGKs were $1 less than platinum during the last local sale. May be worth it.

Apart from the humor it adds to this thread, it does provide some relevance to the subject. Relax dude.

I have an 02 wrx with 309 whp. I am trying to figure out the model number for one step colder NGK Iridium spark plugs. I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere but I couldn't find it.
