First time wrx owner and I'm not sure what to do first for used wrx

I just purchased a used 09 wrx with 43000 miles. The car seems fine, but how do I know it's not ragged out? I'm ready to purchase mods but don't want to risk it. My mod list consist of Accessport, short shifter, Downpipe exhaust, TMIC, etc. Suggestions and any help would be awesome. Bought the car from dealership and it looks like the guy just used it for everyday driving. No mods on it and the carfax said it received it 40000 mile schedule maintenance.

There is no 100% guaranteed way to tell but a cylinder compression/leakdown test and a Used Oil Analysis will give you a pretty good idea of the condition of the motor.

    ^^^ what he said.

My suggestion also, switch to good synthetic fluids for motor and transmission asap. If you want some suggestions, let me know.
