Do you know of any complications that arise from upgrading to a 2.5L engine? Do I need any additional upgrades(intake manifold, injectors,...) for my engine to run efficiently?

So I got my car fixed and found out some pretty sick stuff. First, my mechanic got me a 2.5L block. Then, found out my downpipe was clogged so he hooked me up with a new one for a hundred bucks. That’s why my turbo wasn’t boosting. He installed an uppipe I bought for free. Then found out I had sti pink injectors and an 18G turbo. Ignorance is bliss.

So now my car is running better then ever. Pulling like crazy and sounds amazing. It’s great to have my car back. Now I plan on getting a fuel pump, sti intercooler, and a tune(i'll probably get that as soon as possible) and I’m gonna tear it up.

Definitely stay off the boost until you get all of that stuff in there. Pinks on an 18G setup most likely aren't big enough. You definitely need a tune, or at least to have yours checked as soon as possible. Glad you got your car back man, but be careful

A good way to check for bad cats. pull the o2 sensor. If the car runs better the cats are clogged up.
