Weird sound in 2nd or 3rd when I hit the gas.

The best way I can describe it is it sounds like Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Like make the Z sound really long and raise the pitch as you make it. That's what my car does. Only in gear, not in neutral. Nothing else seems to be an issue right now, but it kinda freaks me out.

My local dealer is notorious for telling me these sounds are perfectly normal, the car's supposed to do that, and no code means nothing's wrong....

Probably between 2500 and 3500, normal load, stock everything. I also noticed when i put the clutch in i hear a sound like gas hissing out. Performance seems fine. Maybe time for a new clutch? Or gears?

I guess no one knows, or is this normal for this car to have so many messed up sounds? I'm starting to really miss my Eclipse.

It's not under warranty. It's at 55,000 miles. The last time I tried that under the powertrain warranty, they said they couldn't find anything and I'd have to pay them $90 for the diagnostic fee.
