DIY with a HEPA filter cut to size and sourced from your local hardware store. Buy a large filter so you have replacements for the same $. Add a subtle scent by using a dryer sheet placed on the filter if you like.

That's funny, never thought of using Fabreeze.

The reason I was asking is that for some of the other cars I've owned there were tons of options, some with charcoal and whatnot and yet for Impreza there's just one (that I found). I started noticing a lot of pollen and dust inside so I figured I'd poke around to see what alternatives are available. Thanks guys.

Oh yeah, non-dealer part is a lot cheaper too

I use the TYC brand stuff all the time, works just fine. There was a parts store in my area that sold them for like 4 bucks a piece, but I'm having a hard time finding the link. Will post up if I find it again.

Edit: Found it, Logical Source, $6.08. Somewhat local anyways.

But that's for a 2006, not sure the differences between 06 and 11.

Thanks. I think filters for 08+ are indeed different from previous MY's.

Another part number to reference appears to be 72880-FG000, Subaru OEM?

Iíve washed mine in a clean bucket with a little Clorox at least 5 times.
No need to purchase a new one.
