Angry 2008 WRX. Could use hints, tips, etc.

Sorry if there is another thread like this. Looked around couldn't find anything specific. But bought a 2008 WRX sedan last week. It's also my first Subaru. So far so good. There was 1 owner and only has 16,500 miles. Still completely stock. Is there anything I should be aware of with these as far as problems later down the road, or something to watch out for. Obviously maintenance will need performed. But asking about problems that can be very costly. Also any upgrades that you would recommend. Not looking to race everybody. Maybe some appearance parts, or simple engine upgrades. Like I said I'm new to Subarus so any advice will help. Thanks.

I might do an intake and exhaust and a tune, that would yield you some more power and still maintain drivability. Just keep up on the tire pressures, I have seen way to many subarus owners not do this and by 80k their viscous coupler unit ( center diff. ) is cooked and starting to bind. However you are driving a Subaru, with the recommended maintenance and not to much abuse the car should see well over 100k miles....

I also just purchased a 08 WRX , hatchback with 29k miles on it.
Ive read around the car sounds pretty solid, just keep up with maintenance intervals, rated very well on consumer reports and all that.
Hope its as reliable as my old LS400 was.
