Hi, I've got a 2000 wrx sti ra, done 170km and
- i've started to notice some grinding noise, especially when shifting fast from 2nd to 3rd.
- The clutch is worn out and slipping
- The question is whether the grinding is because the clutch is not disengaging properly or if the synchcros are worn out, or could it be some other reason, may be replacing the gear oil, etc?
Please respond. Thanks.

replace the gear oil that helped with my similar issue... if your clutch is going that may be a good place to start too
yea but the issue is i should get it done together its cheaper, - clutch and gearbox replace? but i guess its not that bad i can just live with it ,
you dont need a whole gearbox just have sychros replaced a kit isnt that much. have a shop install it its about 2 or 3 hours worth of work.
