    Need some advice on transmission fluids

    I bought at 2004 WRX and i am gonna change the transmission fluid, i just want to know what should i use the car is mildly modded but i want a smoooth shift i was leaning towards royal purple 75 90 but i want to know what every1 else thinks i should use?

    I've heard great things about Subaru Extra-s. This is what I plan to change to when I get to that point.

    Just use regular Valvoline gear oil if you cannot find Extra-S.

    i heard subaru extra s only comes in 5 gallon?

    Typically, you can only buy it in the 20L container.

    Some dealerships will break it up for you. My dealership sells Extra-S by the gallon.

    Yes. If you cannot find the Extra-S or cannot stomach paying... $15 plus shipping per L, just go buy some regular Valvoline. Since I like money, I'm going the Valvoline route myself.

    That's a bit high, but on par with other companies that have divided it up in the past.

    FWIW, it's around $40 for a gallon at my dealership.
