Battery died?

So I had my ipod hooked up to the auxilary port (which is in the dumbest of places, in the armrest) and I was watching a show when about a half hour into it, the battery died. The car battery, not the ipod. The engine was off while I was watching, but it never occurred to me the speakers could drain the battery in auxiliary mode.

Has that happened to anyone else? I got a jump and the car's running fine again, but now I'm worried about even using the radio when the engine is off.

Buy a better battery. Optima Yellow top or Red top.
