so i swapped out my carpet not too long ago and noticed some cables were unplugged . just wanna know what they are for if someone can let me know thanks

wiring harnesses are very expensive to purchase and to manufacture also. they are not vehicle specific but usually model line specific, so a wiring harness for a base impreza can be used also for an STI and all models in between. these unplugged cables may be for accessories in the dash and the center console that your vehicle may not have had but other vehicles in your model lineup may have come with.
