i have a friend who says he can put the stage 1 mapping on my 04 rex but im not really sure how reliable he is.. is there any way for him to ruin my car or should i just take it to the pros??????

Yes he can ruin your car. You did post alot of detail. What is he using to flash and is he actually tuning the car himself or just using a premade map? This question probably belongs more in the tuning/engine management subforum.
