The TPS system doesn't care what type of gas is in the tire, just the pressure of that gas...

yeah first off thanks! i checked pressure it was way over on all of em. but thank god the light went off anyway. second off im diggin the hell outta this whip. Gotta say what reviewers said about the interior is true but who buys this car for that reason anyway?
lol @ nitrous in tires. Adds 50 horse! And I agree the interior isn't anything to write home about, but who cares when you have that nice rumble to make you smile.
All, does the spare also have a Tps? I thought I read that somewhere.
What's up with the nitrogen craze? 79% of air is nitrogen... Is it really going to make that big of a difference using nitrogen vs air?

Yes however did the dealership HONESTLY put nitrogen in your tire? they come from subaru with standard air so they would have to pull the valve stem core, let all air drain, reinstall valve stem core, install nitrogen. CHECK your tire pressure if it is not the same as what is stated on the door go to a tire store that actually does nitrogen and have them change the tires to nitrogen and properly inflate to correct psi.

good call but ill just take it back monday and ask them why the indicator is lit and why the psi on all 4 are way over spec. btw it was 70 bucks to get that done.
If the tire pressure is over spec then the indicator will be illuminated. I dont dissagree with using nitrogen. Id ask to get my money back since the car is brand new, you paid $70 for a nitrogen service and they did it incorrectly. Id be pretty pissed off
