I plan on modding the sways, endlinks, a few bushings, and eventually the exhaust (but no major suspension or brake changes). Should I get jacks or ramps? Why? Thanks, fellas!

For sways and endlinks you need the suspension loaded (i.e. tires on the ground or ramps). You could do an exhaust with ramps, you just might feel a bit cramped. I have ramps for now, but will also be adding a floor jack and stands, both serve their purpose.

I've done my FSB and shifter bushings on ramps, and shortly my transmission mount and cross member bushings. The biggest issue for me is forgetting a tool and having to wiggle out from under the car, but otherwise it's fine.

I used jacks to hold up the car.But if I had ramps I would rather use them. The jack points on the 2011 are flimsy & on the underneath of the side skirts ,& I was terrified that I would break them(the side skirts)

Thanks, fellas. Sounds like ramps will do the trick. I was also worried about messing up my side skirts or something else by missing the mark with jacks. I also wouldn't feel as comfortable torqing something really hard with the car on jacks and me underneath.

Any recommendations for a vendor? Or are they all pretty much the same?

just for ease and safety i would recommend ramps. that is the first thing i bought after buying my car so i could do my own oil changes. i bought my ramps at pep boys, and i think they were from a company called blitz as a poster recommneded below. i bought them with a package with wheel the 2 ramps, wheel chucks, and an used oil catch pan for like $60 or so. just make sure you dont get too large of ramps cause you wont be able to clear them with the frnt lower spoiler on the 2011.

I used ramps to do a few things, and ended up buying 4 jack stands. Just started changing out my rear swaybar and endlinks with the car on the jacks. It didn't seem too bad. Cause of the weather, I'm going to finish tomorrow.

I think you need the suspension compressed for that job though, right?

I managed to get one side all connected, but still haven't tightened anything yet.

The other side was giving me trouble, probably because it's not compressed, so I just used the jack to compress that one side. Worked well. I just have 1 thing left to connect, but my hands were too cold to do it. I'll be starting my own thread with pics of parts, and what i'm doing.

Makes sense. Good luck, I hate working when it's bone cold out.

I've never owned ramps, only stands and jacks.
