Oil leak for top of block

02 wrx, brand new 2.0 engine.

Oil leaking from top of the block (passenger side) from an oil bolt (not sure of the technical name, about 1/4 - 1/2 diameter, 6-8 point allen key needed to remove)

any idea if this is a common problem, i check my old block and that has a washer on it, new does not.

i attempted to put the washer on but the threads get weird and feel like a cross thread when i reach the end of it.


any ideas on a fix would help the oil keeps puddling up in that area, oh and my levels are still good so it cant be to heavy of a leak.

Buy a new washer from Subaru.
