knock noise?

I just bought a 05 wrx with intake, exhaust and a turbo timer. I assume it hasnet been abused but who knows so i bough a 2 year warrenty as well.

But sometimes when i let out the clutch i here a knock noise in first and second. its not that loud and i cant feel it i just here in sometimes when pulling out of a parking spot or taking off at a light any ideas?

Are you sure it's just not clutch chatter?

Is it a single knock or a series of knocks? Does it become more frequent as speed increases?

The first thing that came to my mind was perhaps the intake knocking around in the fender or something ( if its a CAI )... or a motor or trans mount. How about if your in neutral and just rev the engine sitting still do you hear the knocking noise? How many miles are on the vehicle?

i have 93k on it and its only one knock and the car starts moving into get i don't here it when i rev and its only in first, second and every once and a will third it is common when i down shift into second while coming up to a light and then when it turns green before i completely stop and i accelerate again...?

Could be the pitch stop mount in the rear of the engine. As the motor torques, you may be hearing it knock against the mount. Or it could be an engine mount, trans mount, or rear diff mount (if you hear it in the rear of the car)

naww its in the front thx tho ill check it out
