Like the title states, I'm trying to figure out if I have a blown piston ringland in my 4th cylinder... please tell me what the symptoms were prior to the engine rebuild to see if I can get an idea if this is what I'm facing...

I did do a compression test and the engine was cold and it was 1-120 2-110 3-120 4-120... I've has a misfire issue and can't find out what the cause is...
Ive checked these things so far...
1.replaced the spark plug
2.swapped the coil packs (still p0304)
3.cleaned the maf and switched it back to a paper filter
4. Compression test
5.injector was checked with a osilascope and was pulsing normal..
6.dataloging and nothing was abnormal
7. Ran a new ground wire from the coil pack and tested the ground levels

Done that. Datalogging showed no signs of knock what-so-ever. No learned parameters to indicate prolonged knock issues either. Everything was inline except for a small boost oscillation issue which was remedied quickly and showed no signs of causing issues like a misfire. Datalogs look clean and good and he's still hitting boost targets just fine. This was in the 1.5 hour datalogging session we did a couple of nights ago. It would seem that if this issue was more than prevelant it would have reared its head in that time, but nothing happened.
It seems to be a come and go issue, not sure what is causing it.

Sounds just like my issues and I now have a bad ringland in #4.
Started as a light miss on idle. Couldn't feel it under boost.
Started to notice more and more oil in my IC
Then mixed with coolant= Chocolate Milk
Then another compression check showed #4 at 60 psi
Sounds like unfortunately your driving a ticking time bomb. Good luck!
Might want to try a leakdown test to see if that reveals an issue
